One more link about Uruguay
Hi All,
it's been waaaay too much time since I don't post anything here and since I'm very lazy and busy I won't write about anything hahahaha.
I just want to post another link about Uruguay in case someone is interested in visiting.
The reason for this is that I just got an email about a nice fellow from Canada asking me about home and that he was thinking of visiting. I'm flattered. I hope you go and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks Dude!
Anyways, the website is that of the Uruguay's Ministry of Tourism it has Spanish, English and Portuguese versions so hopefully you'll know one of those languages ;-)

Notas y Cumple
Hola a todos,
bueno aprovechando que me levanté temprano hoy y que hace como 3 semanas que no escribo pues aquí estoy escribiendo unas líneas.
Tengo 2 muy buenas noticias que contarles.
Primero relacionado al master, me acaban de dar una nota de un parcial que es bastante importante y me fue bastante bien, me saqué 175/200 y el máximo de la clase fue 190. Acá lo bueno es que la nota se basa en el que saca más o algo así, entonces al final es más fácil tener notas altas jaja. Ah no les comenté pero la nota corresponde a "Managerial Economics" que es una especie de Microeconomía aplicada a los negocios y es creo yo la materia más importante del semestre, al menos la que requiere más trabajo. Esto es muy motivante porque en la misma materia con mi equipo veníamos haciendo unos papers y aunque no nos ha ido mal, venimos por debajo del promedio de la clase y eso no nos gusta. No nos importa ser los nro 1, pero tampoco estar detrás del resto.
La otra noticia que tengo para darles es que hoy es mi cumpleaños nro 27!!
La verdad que ese número ya impone un poco más de respeto jejeje, pero yo soy un tipo que no se preocupa ni se hace drama por esas cosas. Cada vez que me siento viejo lo que hago es pensar en mis hermanos mayores a los cuales yo todavía veo jóvenes y me digo a mi mismo "si yo soy un pibe al lado de éstos" jajajajaja (sin ofender). Por lo pronto el plan del día es jugar al tennis en un rato contra 2 muy amigos uruguayos, hoy lamentablemente no voy a contar con mi pareja habitual (de tennis), pero me conseguí un buen reemplazo. Por la tarde tengo reunión de grupo de estudio porque tenemos que dar una presentación de Marketing el martes y por la noche si, ahí tiro la chancleta. Invité a todo el mundo que conozco por estos lares a ir a un boliche a sacarle lustre al piso y a practicar el codo. Ayer estaba armando la lista de los que posiblemente vayan y eran como unos 130. Es impresionante la de gente que uno se cruza acá. Aunque debo admitir que el master es un proveedor importante de invitados jejeje. Durante toda esta semana me cruzaba con los compañeros y todos me saludaban por el cumple (claro si hasta la directora del programa invité jajaja).
Eso si...mañana va a estar duriiiiiiisimo :-(

Master Update
Hi Again Fellows,
It's kind of hard to maintain my blog updated, as classes advance more and more work I have to do.
But so far I like going back to school, I know it's going to be challenging but I'm excited about it, and I'm learning a lot.
I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I'm part of a team of six, my teammembers are: Laura, Gilbert (Gil), Nancy, Sharon and Bindiya. I'll tell you more of these fellows as time goes by. I think we are a great team with a lot of potential. We are finishing our first paper together and even though it took us a lot of time, I'm very happy with the output. I'll post the paper later when we've finished.
The courses I'm taking are Economics, Marketing, Statistics, Human Dynamics and Accounting. They are pretty interesting, specially Economics, even though it's one of the most challenging courses. Because I have no background on it.
I also started to work twice a week and I can tell the difference with the rest of the students that have more time to study, but hey, I never liked easy things and I don't expect this one to be the exception.
If all of this wasn't enough, the social part is not left behind jejeje. Usually on thursdays we go to a happy hour where 2nd year students go so we take the chance to meet them. Also this weekend was pretty busy, I had a farewell, a birthday and a party organized by a 2nd year student.
Here's a picture of some of my classmates, this was last week where some of they guys celebrated their bday. We went to a sushi bar.
